It’s possible to grow younger in your skin!

The routine may seem tiring, but if you commit to it, you will thank yourself in a few years.

Welcome to The Founders Journal! I trust you had a great weekend my reader. Mine was beautifully interesting, as it always is. I actually look forward to weekends, especially Sundays. Beyond being a day of corporate worship (which I truly love), it’s also a time to spend with family and catch up with brethren and friends. And I love that fellowship, being reminded that we are connected not by blood, but by LOVE.

Anyway, this post is about skincare. Let me not digress too much.

While catching up with one of the brethren, I had a short but very meaningful conversation with my Pastor Mrs about something I am deeply passionate about; SKINCARE. Those two minutes were, as always, full of wisdom and insight.

She shared a story about her elder sister who lives in the US. The sister is in her 40s (or close to it), but her skin looks like that of a teenager. Her secret? A simple skincare routine: cleansing, moisturizing, and sunscreen. She has stayed consistent for years, and the results speak for themselves.

My pastor then said something that stayed with me: “The routine may seem tiring, but if you commit to it, you will thank yourself in a few years.”

That really made me reflect. You may think your skin is great now, and do not need any skincare routine, but after a while you’ll soon notice your skin’s tiredness earlier than you should have. Let’s ponder together as I explain to you the important steps to having an ever glowing skin:

  • Cleansing – Removes dirt, oil, sweat, and impurities that clog pores and cause breakouts. It keeps the skin fresh, clean, and ready to absorb other products effectively.
  • Moisturizing – Hydrates and nourishes the skin, preventing dryness and maintaining a healthy, soft, and glowing complexion.
  • Sunscreen - Protects the skin from harmful UV rays that cause premature aging, dark spots, and long-term skin damage.
  • Hydrating – Restores water balance within the skin, improving elasticity, plumpness, and overall skin health from within.
  • Avoiding harsh soaps or makeup - Prevents irritation and damage to the skin barrier, helping maintain a calm, even, and healthy skin tone.

Clearly, skincare is not just a routine. It’s a long-term investment. Embrace it today!
